One Plus One Equals ONE

August 12, 2008

Today, I want to share with you my hypothesis on Abundance Relationship Math.

We have heard of  1 + 1 = 3, if my memory does not fail me, I think it refers to the synergy generated from team work.  I have a new one to share with you today, and it goes like this:
1 + 1 = 1 (I know my math has never been too great, but I am sure I got this one right!)

How do I mean?  Well, to continue on from my last post, when one complete, wholesome person living abundant life unites with another complete, wholesome and abundant person, we don’t get two persons.  Instead we get One Abundant Union, fused and merged and integrated into each other.   It is no longer two separate entities but One Wholesome Union, One Complete entity, One life that is much more Abundant.

Conversely, 0.5 + 0.5 <> 1.  Instead, we get something less than 1.   Why?   Because adding two incomplete entities together do not make one complete entity.   Think for a moment, there could be areas that are lacking in both the individual components, and if we bring the two together, we will still have areas that are not covered (granted there will be areas of overlap too), there may still be gaps and holes; the structure will not be stable just because we add more to it. In fact, it may topple over even faster due to imbalance!

I am speaking in figurative terms and I am exaggerating a little, but I believe you get the picture I am trying to paint. So to summarize my hypothesis, in Louisa’s Abundant Relationship Math Class
One Plus One Equals ONE AND One Half Plus Another Half does Not make one whole

I would love to hear your feedback and comments.  Perhaps we can refine this further!

you are not counting by units when you say 1+1=1
ex. one pile of sand plus another pile of sand equals a pile of more sand. A Pile of sand will always be one unless you give it a unit
ex. 1kg of sand + 1kg of sand equals 2kg of sand.
a pile of sand + a pile of sand equals a pile of sand because there is no units for any adddends

    Hi Chris,

LOL, that’s the difference between the genders.

Yes I am speaking in figurative terms s and I do intend to keep my 1 + 1 = 1 theory!

    Vivia la One!
