Firstly, thank you for taking part in the poll.
Secondly let’s address the issue.
Financial independence and reducing stress were the two items you wanted more information on. So today, we will talk about financial freedom, which is an aspect of living your abundant life.
What is financial freedom? There are many definitions of financial freedom or financial independence. The one that I embrace says that you are financially independent when your monthly passive income is over and above your total monthly expenses.
Hmmm, where does that leave us? Do we have passive income?
Sounds like a tall order and it seems so distant and far…
Well, if you are ready to suspend your judgment, if you are willing to challenge your limiting beliefs and embrace abundance, read on:
• If there is a way for you to reach financial freedom
• If you can listen to life testimony and simple tips that would make this possible
• If someone has done the research, walked the path, been there done that
• If that someone is willing to share with you strategies and tips to use
• If you given step by step guidance to implement
• If you can raise any questions you have
• If you can do that from where you are (at home)
Will you be interested to explore consider and this?
The first step to reaching any goals, dreams or desire is the openness to explore and the willingness to suspend judgment and cynicism. Only then will you be open to consider the different options you have for reaching your ultimate dream. You do not want to limit yourselves at the outset. However, do keep your sharp and analytical mind as you evaluate the information presented to you.
Before we become millionaires, a few things need to take place. Before experiencing abundance there needs to be awareness, learning and implementation, monitoring, realignment and practice, practice, and more practice. This is the sure and steady way to success.
If you say “No” at this point in time, you would have closed the door to something you have not considered.

The Abundant Lives Coaching Fan Page

I finally decided to launch it. This is following the "Ready, Fire, Aim" approach or the Progress versus Perfection approach. As I mentioned elsewhere, it is easy to be paralyzed by the need to be perfect, yet what is more important is the momentum and the consistency. Enters the Abundant Lives Coaching Fan Page.
Consider this a soft launch. There is still some work to be done but the basic structures are there for a meaningful community to discuss, mingle and share information and views relating to achieving a more fulfilling, satisfying and abundant life.
Why a Fan Page? It allows for more timely and frequent updates compared to a blog post. And it also provides easy access for others on facebook to interact with each other on the topic of their interest. This fanpage complements the blog posts and is an extension of it in a way.
I would encourage you to join me at the Fan Page as I will be spending a fair bit more time there. You will find more frequent updates on events, discussions, and it is really a community that interact with others with the same interests. It is estimated that there are now 400 millions users on Facebook, who log on at least twice a day.
On the Fan Page, you can share your own views, your links, your videos, and photos or you can choose to just read. I encourage you to participate, leave a comment, give a thumbs up or click the "like" link or share it with others. If you find something of value, pass it on.
Facebook, contrary to what many think, has more mature users than youngsters. While the profile page is for personal use, to stay in touch with friends and family, the Fan Page is more a resource, convergent place for all to mingle and have a conversation.

It’s The Lunar New Year!

What does Chinese New Year Mean To You?
Good question huh? And this is not a festivity celebrated by all. Yet Verizon Wireless actually opened a Lunar New Year Essay Contest with this topic to kickoff the Year of the Tiger for those in California and Seattle.
The Lunar New Year is a time of great festivity and celebration. Everything loud and colourful is associated with it. The red packet, red clothing, red banners, red paper cuttings on doors, the fireworks and fire crackers and yes the lion dances too.
When I think of the Lunar New Year I associate it with 3 things, the first of which is Spring.
The Lunar New Year is sometimes referred to as the Spring Festival. While the first day of spring in the U.S. is considered to be around March 20 or 21, the official first day of Spring according to the Chinese lunar calendar fell on February 4th (立春). With that, the Year of the Tiger has taken over from the Year of the Ox.
Spring time is when flowers begin to bloom and animals come out of hibernation. It signifies life and vitality. The Chinese have a saying too that "A day’s planning is done in the morning while a year’s planning is done in spring" (一日之计在于晨, 一年之计在于春).
It is the time to make plans for the entire year. If you had made your New Year resolutions on 1st January, this is a good time to review how far you have come. If you had not managed to make any plans yet, this is another opportunity for you to do so.
Spring spells freshness and life, and with it, hope and power. Time to welcome the dawn of a new life!
Second thing I associate with the Lunar New Year is the massive and thorough Spring cleaning before the New Year. Traditionally, we work to get rid of the old and make way for the new. Everything used for the new year period “should” be new or at least cleaned out thoroughly. One would use new utensils, new curtains, new coat of paint, new clothing and of course new shoes.
From the kitchen to the closets, from the living room to the store room. Every corner is to be scrubbed and cleaned out thoroughly. This is a great practice and it does wonders to me physically, mentally and emotionally.
There’s something very liberating about tidying, organizing, de-cluttering and cleaning. I can do with some spring cleaning now and then. The cleaning is then followed by decorations, stocking up of food supplies and preparation of the day long feasts!
Third thing I associate with the Lunar New Year is the priority given to Friends and Family. Chines New Year is the time for family reunions and gatherings. This is the peak time for migration of people back to the suburban areas. Do not go near train or bus stations unless you need to go home to your family living outside of town.
Days before the eve of the New Year, work begins to wind down, traffic builds up and the festive mood grows in anticipation of celebration, fun and joy. This is the time where everyone makes conscious effort to leave work temporarily aside and give priority to family, kins and friends. In China, there is a week-long public holiday. In Malaysia, most Chinese entrepreneurs take a break of at least a week.
This is the time to be with the family. Once a year, everything stops; family and relationships are consciously placed before work or business.
What does the Lunar New Year mean to me?
Amidst the busy-ness, the hustle and bustle, I look forward to the Lunar Near Year as a time of hope, a fresh start and a time to cherish the ones beside me. A time for New Year Visits (拜年). Come celebrate with me. You too can enjoy this Spring Festival! 祝大家 新年进步，新年快了
