Find Relevant Content – The Fast And Easy Way

June 25, 2010

During the week, 3 of my published articles have been modified when republished. My initial reaction was an emotional unrest followed by a quick reconditioning to "let it go".

You see when I submit my articles to online directories, I am giving permission for my articles to be republished. There are of course guideline for republishing and most do follow the guidelines.  Some however, violate the system and use published articles towards their own good.

What do you do in this situation? I cannot control others' behavior. Although I can contact the owner of the site but I don't expect miracles. However, I can "release" the feeling of unrest and let go of the scarcity mentality and instead concentrate on generating more value and articles. Counter intuitive huh?

Look, pirated copies of software circulating around has not stopped vendors from continuing to research and better their products. There will always be some who look for loop holes and take advantage yet my mantra is to keep on focusing on my cause and not be distracted by the noise around me. As my mentor coach would say, focus on creating more so that what is "leaking" will pale in comparison.

And when I reframe my perspective, this "copying" is an affirmation that my articles are on the right track. Otherwise others will not want to re-publish them and direct credit to themselves!

findcontent Find Relevant Content The Fast And Easy WayMy point today is to help you get creative when you hit writer's block. There is a place for research and looking up relevant and related material.

It not only gives you background information, you will also want to know what others are saying on the topic; whether you agree, disagree or have another view to offer.

So by all means look at others' content and you can also quote or refer to their work – and give credit where credit is due, ok? And do not modify the original article or misrepresent the author.

Today I am going to show you a very cool way of finding relevant material for your writing or speeches. It will bring you material from Amazon, ezine directories, even you tubes and wikis.  You can read up, soak in, digest and come up with your own message.

Not only that, you can also check up on keywords used in these articles, see how they are ranking on the search engines and reverse engineer on the back links (and their strength) linking to these sites. This research will give you an idea of the possible keywords that you may want to use and the sites that you too may want to link to so that your article too will rank high on SEO.

The information you need is all out there.  You just need to know how and where to look for it. And be wiling to spend some time doing the research.  If we want to write articles that will benefit others and be searchable on the internet, then we want to do our research well and get all the SEO juice that we can.

I have a video here that will demonstrate to you how this detective work is done. Click on this link and let Market Samurai show you relevant resources for your book, speech and product.

Mission Possible – Together

March 15, 2010

Everyone, at some point of his or her life, has dreamed of being someone special, someone who makes a positive impact and difference to others; someone who contribute in a big way. When was the last time you set aside time to dream?

Is there an excitement in your life, anticipation and an aspiration? Or are we so caught up in the humdrum of living from day-to-day that we are barely existing and surviving?

But you know what? Life could be so much more, if only we aim higher, look further.

By this time, there would be loud chatters in your head telling you to exit this post or page and that all these self improvement stuff is just too hard, too impossible and takes too much out of you.

But hey, if everyone thought that, there would be no inventions, no innovations, and no breakthroughs in all of human history. But yet we had so many accomplishments!

Mission Possible TogetherMankind has gone on outer space explorations. We want to explore and conquer the outer space. Perhaps it is time we start with our own inner space exploration and journey.

What would you like to go/do?
What would you like to be?
What would you like to experience?

If you can have everything you need, if you cannot fail, if you have a message to tell the world, what would that be?

Scientists were baffled when they took a look at the humble bumblebee. Theoretically, they said, it was impossible for the bumblebee to fly.

Fortunately for the bumble bee, no one has told it so. So it flies happily and defy all scientific reasons.

On the other hand, we hear of the story of a big elephant, tied to a tiny pole that would not move to free himself. Why? Because the elephant has been consistently conditioned to think that he is not strong enough to free himself from the tiny little rope keeping him to the pole.

When you get down to dreaming today, dream big. Keep a healthily positive mindset.

And then let no one tell you anything negative. When we start believing in ourselves, others will back off with their negativity. They will learn to quiet down their empty and loud chatter. And if helps if we only surround ourselves with people who are positive and empowering.

So set aside time to dream today.

Do this exercise. Take a piece of paper and write down your dreams.
List down all the things you have accomplished.
List down all your strengths, natural talents and skills.
Write down all that you can do.
Write down what you will do in the next month, 3 months, 6 months to achieve your dreams.

On another piece of paper, write down all your fears, concerns and worries.

Then think about how much of these are assumptions.
How much of this is “truth”.
Talk to others about the way you see your challenges.
Have you put in unchecked assumptions?
Have you made your journey more difficult that it needs to be?

Keep it simple.

Then write down what you can do to make what seems impossible possible.

That is all for today! We will talk about acting on these dreams later. Day dreaming will not get us anywhere.

Unattended dreams can become tattered and torn. Cherish and nurture your dreams by taking massive action. Renew your dreams, live your dream everyday by working towards it. That keeps me excited.

The Music Of Hope And The Sound Of Promise

January 14, 2010

Nobuyuki Tsujii was 20 when he was awarded Gold Medallist at the prestigious Van Cliburn international piano competition in 2009.  In fact, he started winning national awards when he was 7 and has since performed in Carnegie Hall and Tchaikovsky Conservatory among other renowned concert halls. He is known for his refined and effortless playing and keeps is audience spell bound from beginning to the end.

Mr Tsuijii was born blind.

Yet this Tsuijii's message for us – "There are no barriers in the field of music."

Patrick Henry Hughes is 21, wheelchair bound and born totally blind. Who would have thought that his fingers could glide and fly across the keyboard as he played Claire De Lune so passionately?

I was drawn by Patrick's attitude and philosophy of life. Where most would be angry with life and cry "unfair", Patrick is grateful for what he has.  "God made me blind and didn't give me the ability to walk. Big deal. He gave me the talent to play piano and trumpet and all that good stuff." says Patrick.

He isn't fazed by what many of us would consider as insurmountable obstacles. Nothing seems to be too difficult for him. He attends University, enjoys life and plays in the local marching band. Yes.  You have to watch this video clip to "see" what I mean.

I am inspired by these heroes (including Patrick's and Tsujii's parents and support groups). They see opportunities in their difficult situations, they find a way around their limitations, work hard towards their dream and smile their way through life's challenges. They do not waste their lives mourning for what they cannot have, they rejoice in what they do have and make beautiful music out of it.

The next time you feel beaten and discouraged, remember the Helen Kellers (both blind and deaf) and the Stevie Wonders, the Tsujiis and the Hughes.  It's time to focus on what we can do and what we do have. Because "What we focus on will expand", Cheri Huber.

Action item? May be a good idea to list 3 things that are challenging you now and find out who else have overcome those challenges and how they did it. You may get different results from them yet their stories will warm your hearts and give you the sound of Promise
.

If you find these heroes inspiring, press the "share this" button or the "retweet" button if you have a twitter account. You never know who may be encouraged by their music and it does not cost you anything to do this. Thank you for sharing.

Other inspirational stories can be seen in Jonathan Livingston, Nick Vujicic, the Hoyts and from those who believe and anywhere else you may care to look.
