Most of us are good in some facets of our lives, whether it is health, work, relationships or finance. There are sub areas within each of these facets where we are very good at and some where we may not have all the latest updates and knowledge. I am always hungry for learning new things. However reading up on all areas takes up time. So I leverage on others.

International Women’s Day And What That Means

It s the International Women's Day again. First celebrated in Copenhagen in 1910, this March 8, 2010 marks its centenary celebration.
What has the International Women's Day got to do with you and I?
This is a day when women are recognized for their achievements regardless of the ethnic, culture, economics, or politics. This is an occasion to contemplate accomplishments of women who have influenced and shaped our world. More importantly, it is a day that we can look ahead to as more opportunities and potentials are unleashed for the next generations of young and budding women.
It isn't so long ago that women were not "supposed" to get too much education or hold certain professions or positions. In some parts of the world, parents still prefer having boys to girls.
Just last month we hear of the alarming decline female population due to female foeticide and female genocide(sex-selective abortions and killing of females). Some never made it to the world. And this is going to cause social imbalance; as is already being experienced in some parts of Asia.
Incidentally, the United Nation's themes for this year's International Women's Day is "Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities: Progress For All.
I just want to take this opportunity to appreciate women.
Women who work quietly behind the scene and women who have taken the road less traveled. Women who have paved the way for the next generation. Women who sacrifice their own interests and taken care of people around them. Women who played multiple roles and juggled many balls to care for those around them. They have collectively brought contribution and advancement to society and mankind.
The Independent published a list of 100 women who helped changed the world. I hope this inspires you. (In case you wonder why Mother Teresa is not there, this only refers to British women).
There are many ways we can participate in "changing the world". We can start by adding value to and influencing the girls in our community. One concrete way is to be role models for the young women, our next generation.
They are constantly and silently looking for guidance, role models, examples to follow and mentors. It is up to us to blaze the trail for them, as many unsung heroines have done for us. At this point I am thinking of and missing my grandma …
To all the women who have supported and shaped my life, Happy International Women's Day! (And yes you can start singing John Lennon's "Women").
Pass this on to the women who have made a difference in your life. Appreciate them and be thankful that they are here to support and encourage you.
Take Contorol Of Your Financial Freedom

Firstly, thank you for taking part in the poll.
Secondly let’s address the issue.
Financial independence and reducing stress were the two items you wanted more information on. So today, we will talk about financial freedom, which is an aspect of living your abundant life.
What is financial freedom? There are many definitions of financial freedom or financial independence. The one that I embrace says that you are financially independent when your monthly passive income is over and above your total monthly expenses.
Hmmm, where does that leave us? Do we have passive income?
Sounds like a tall order and it seems so distant and far…
Well, if you are ready to suspend your judgment, if you are willing to challenge your limiting beliefs and embrace abundance, read on:
• If there is a way for you to reach financial freedom
• If you can listen to life testimony and simple tips that would make this possible
• If someone has done the research, walked the path, been there done that
• If that someone is willing to share with you strategies and tips to use
• If you given step by step guidance to implement
• If you can raise any questions you have
• If you can do that from where you are (at home)
Will you be interested to explore consider and this?
The first step to reaching any goals, dreams or desire is the openness to explore and the willingness to suspend judgment and cynicism. Only then will you be open to consider the different options you have for reaching your ultimate dream. You do not want to limit yourselves at the outset. However, do keep your sharp and analytical mind as you evaluate the information presented to you.
Before we become millionaires, a few things need to take place. Before experiencing abundance there needs to be awareness, learning and implementation, monitoring, realignment and practice, practice, and more practice. This is the sure and steady way to success.
If you say “No” at this point in time, you would have closed the door to something you have not considered.

The Abundant Lives Coaching Fan Page

I finally decided to launch it. This is following the "Ready, Fire, Aim" approach or the Progress versus Perfection approach. As I mentioned elsewhere, it is easy to be paralyzed by the need to be perfect, yet what is more important is the momentum and the consistency. Enters the Abundant Lives Coaching Fan Page.
Consider this a soft launch. There is still some work to be done but the basic structures are there for a meaningful community to discuss, mingle and share information and views relating to achieving a more fulfilling, satisfying and abundant life.
Why a Fan Page? It allows for more timely and frequent updates compared to a blog post. And it also provides easy access for others on facebook to interact with each other on the topic of their interest. This fanpage complements the blog posts and is an extension of it in a way.
I would encourage you to join me at the Fan Page as I will be spending a fair bit more time there. You will find more frequent updates on events, discussions, and it is really a community that interact with others with the same interests. It is estimated that there are now 400 millions users on Facebook, who log on at least twice a day.
On the Fan Page, you can share your own views, your links, your videos, and photos or you can choose to just read. I encourage you to participate, leave a comment, give a thumbs up or click the "like" link or share it with others. If you find something of value, pass it on.
Facebook, contrary to what many think, has more mature users than youngsters. While the profile page is for personal use, to stay in touch with friends and family, the Fan Page is more a resource, convergent place for all to mingle and have a conversation.
